I've finally gotten the chance to add some photos and what not.
I had the chance to go through some old photos from the last few years and found some I wanted to scan on. so those are up and labeled as such. And i also added photos from my final glass blowing installation from december. they aren't the best quality but they work i guess.
i'm working on getting a rebel since my powershot is slowly dying. its sad really, poor thing will only zoom in or out once in a while and thats after being dropped on the floor.... thank god for birthday money and tax refunds. lol
still in barker, working with my mom and helping her out where i can. her medical situation has improved since i've been home, which is a big relief.
planning on transfering and all that jazz work with in the next few weeks, if they'll take me that is. i'm hopeful that the majority of my credits will transfer and cover there curriculum
hopefully more photos soon when i get my hands on some film.

oye. the last few weeks have been ridiculous like whoa.
glass blowing has been the biggest pain. nothing i made over the last few weeks has turned out. I lost 3 pieces to the kiln. once because some one put a huge piece of solid work in and another time because someone knocked my pieces over and broke it. happens though.
on top of those losses, i lost about 5 pieces to the grinder, 3 of which where last night. and wow do i hate cold working. it took me 5 hours to grind and polish 4 pieces. woot. my hands are sooo dry
hopefully it'll be worth it in the end. i have to set up and photograph my pieces for my final. i'm hoping they don't look 2 amateur.

art as process ended well. I did a string exploration which was fun. They turned out pretty well. Not great but well. I have to photograph those yet.

so yeah. 2 days and counting. i'm going to miss my friends and roommates but at least i can come visit them next semester. and hey i'm ending this one with a really good gpa so transferring after the summer shouldn't be hard. plus with the portfolio i've got. woot for me.

other then that...things are pretty good.
still waiting on some good snow for upper wny. i'd love to see some good cover at least for christmas day.

well its been about 3 years since i've written a journal entry and obviously alot has gone on since then.
in that time i've added random deviations. so you've had something to view once in a while.
still in school at Alfred University. pry not for 2 much longer though. with the way the economy is and how my parents are doing financially its looking as though i am need to stop school for a semester. which isn't really a bad thing. i've gotten just about all of my gen eds out of the way and i'm basically half way to any kind of art degree, which is awesome. plus, if i do leave alfred i'll still have gotten the best/most out of my time here. i've been able to go through there awesome BAFA program as well as taken glass blowing. so all in all its been time well spent. i just wish that i was able to have a piece of paper that said i graduated from here.
thinking of transfering to Buff State or NU after a semester or 2 of working and setting some money aside. like i said though, if i transfer it won't take me long to actually graduate. also though, in that time, my long time boyfriend and i are talking about getting married. we're going to be ring shopping within the next few months. so i'd be more happy with doing that then school for the time being. lol
semester wise, i'm taking glass blowing so i should have some photos of what i've made up with in the next few weeks. i'm also taking art as process. i'll have so new photos from that class once we get going. within the next few days for sure.
